St Albans North Neighbourhood comprises the Wards of Batchwood, Marshalswick North, Marshalswick South and Sandridge. Batchwood and Sandridge each have a dedicated Neighbourhood Constable. Marshalswick North and South share a Neighbourhood Constable. Each Ward also has a named PCSO.

There are currently
two main issues affecting the North Neighbourhood.
In Marshalswick North there has been a significant rise in crime and anti-social
behaviour at the Quadrant. Police have now addressed this and are working in
partnership with local Councillors and District Council staff to put in additional
measures, such as CCTV, to deter offenders. Local shop owners have also instigated
the installation of 'alley gates' to prevent access to the rear of the shops.
It is hoped that these measures will improve the quality of life of local shopkeepers and residents.
In Batchwood there has been a general increase in minor crime such as graffiti. Police have increased patrols in the area and are working with the Litter Enforcement Officer at the District Council to provide long term solutions.
The Mobile Police Station continues to visit several locations in the Neighbourhood on a very regular basis, including Jersey Farm shops, the Quadrant and High Oaks shops. The local Neighbourhood Constables and PCSOs are regularly present on these visits, so please visit them to discuss any issues or concerns you may have.
The Neighbourhood Police Team are
committed to helping reduce crime and ensuring all residents and visitors to
the area enjoy a peaceful and safe environment. We would like to thank you for
your continued support.
St Albans and district is one of the safest places in the country. Hertfordshire Police, St.Albans City & District Safety Partnership and Neighbourhood Watch work together to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
We at Neighbourhood Watch are all volunteers, The district of St.Albans is divided into 20 wards, each ward is represented by a Ward Co-ordinator, who in turn will assist area co-ordinators and street co-ordinators. We welcome new volunteers to help us run and expand Neighbourhood Watch.
